“I’m an Alcoholic. I’m Addicted.”

Designer John Galliano (54) now spoke in a London Synagogue, on the side of rabbis, open about his alcoholism and his anti-Semitic utterances which 2011 had cost him the job at Dior.

“I’m an alcoholic. I’m addicted. That’s no excuse. We are not responsible for our disease, alcoholics and addicts. Anyway I take full responsibility for my healing to me and do me in compensation”- with these open words surprised now designer John Galliano in a round of talk with Rabbi Barry Marcus in a London Synagogue.

Since its collapse four years ago, the designer has always again publicly in repentance. At that time, at the height of his alcohol addiction, he had made headlines with anti-Semitic remarks. These had 2011 cost him the job at the fashion house of Dior, and brought a fine of 6000. Then he introduce himself in one for a drug rehabilitation at a clinic. But four years later he was still considered scandal Designer, until the beginning of may there was a Shitstorm in the net, because human rights lawyer Amal Clooney (37) wore a robe of the designer for the met Gala.

Until the beginning of the year Galliano dared the step back into the public eye, celebrated his comeback as new Chief Designer Martin Margiela fashion house. Rabbi Barry Marcus to have played at the time a major role in Galliano of public rehabilitation, sat in the front row during the Margiela show. “Galliano seeks compassion”, in London and further “it should be not more strictly treated as Rabbi Marcus at the weekend as a lot of other celebrities who have made also controversial statements about Jews.”

Galliano, known earlier for his extravagant performances, was remorseful, almost shy during his appearance in the synagogue at the weekend. “It cost me much courage, open to talk about, but it is just”, as Galliano.
